Grandiose delusions are fixed beliefs of exceptional power, importance, or special status, such as thinking you have extraordinary talents, control over world events, or a unique mission. These convictions are held with certainty despite evidence to the contrary and are not culturally sanctioned. This makes them the best fit for belief in exceptional power or importance.

Persecutory delusions involve being harmed or conspired against, somatic delusions center on bodily functioning or health, and illusions are misperceptions of real external stimuli rather than fixed beliefs.
